STATEMENT REGARDING ORAL ARGUMENT

        Plaintiffs-appellants request oral argument. This case will determine the applicability of the Americans with Disabilities Act to local zoning ordinances. It will also determine the applicability of precedents from outside this circuit that hold that local neighborhood opposition to proposed housing for people in recovery with disabilities is relevant to finding that local officials acted with discriminatory intent. The issues are complex and important, and they deserve to be fully argued.
